Cascadia Capital is pleased to announce that Braemont Capital, a leading Dallas-based investment firm, has acquired Royal Cup, a premier beverage solutions provider that roasts, blends, and distributes coffees, teas, and allied products across the United States and Canada.

Cascadia’s buy-side advisory team supported Braemont Capital in the acquisition of Royal Cup, providing deep industry expertise and advisory support. Cascadia’s Capital Markets team arranged debt financing led by Main Street Capital, providing a flexible capital solution that supported the acquisition and positioned the business for continued growth under new ownership.

Founded in 1896 and headquartered in Birmingham, AL, Royal Cup manufactures and distributes high-quality coffee and tea in a variety of flavors and formats with distribution throughout the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean, serving customers in the food service, hospitality, office, and specialty coffee markets. It is the largest independent coffee roaster in the United States, serving ~25,000+ customers nationwide.

“Royal Cup is a tremendous, multi-generation business that leads across sectors of the coffee ecosystem,” said Erik Einwalter, Managing Director at Cascadia Capital. “It was an honor to help Braemont on the transaction, leveraging our deep expertise in coffee to provide diligence and strategy support.”

“We are proud to have supported Braemont in structuring a financing solution that enabled the platform acquisition of Royal Cup and establishes a strong foundation for its next phase,” added Tom Mills, Head of Capital Markets. “In close coordination with our Food & Beverage team, we brought together industry expertise and financing expertise to develop a structure aligned with Royal Cup’s long-term vision.”

Clark Hill PLC acted as legal advisor to Braemont Capital. Stephens Inc. served as sell-side advisor to Royal Cup.
