My expertise lies in advising independent and funded sponsors on a deal-by-deal basis in the lower and middle market, providing customized capital raising solutions and creating long term partnerships with top tier and collaborative institutional investors. I specialize in providing flexible capital solutions across the capital structure that maximizes sponsor economics, while navigating complex transactions and ensuring strong alignment to achieve optimal results for our clients. Sim and I are pioneers of the independent sponsor advisory market, and I’m known for my dynamic energy and creative persistence to ensure successful outcomes.

My Bio

Pete Purcell is a Managing Director at Cascadia Capital, where he co-leads the Equity Capital Solutions practice within the Capital Markets group. He brings extensive experience advising private equity firms and raising capital from the institutional investor community. Pete has a strong track record of delivering customized capital solutions to independent sponsors, funded sponsors, and family offices.

Prior to joining Cascadia, Pete held similar senior roles at Houlihan Lokey and Triago, where he led West Coast operations for their private capital advisory practices. Previously, he spent six years at Stifel | Eaton Partners, where he co-founded, built, and led the Directs Practice while also managing several successful primary fundraises. Earlier in his career, Pete worked in both buy-side and sell-side roles at Antares Capital and Duff & Phelps. He also held corporate development positions at Fannie Mae and Illumina, where he played an integral role in the formation of Grail.

Peter holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA from Albion College. He maintains FINRA Series 24, 7, 79, and 63 licenses.
