Q: Trust. Experience. Independence. Results. What does this mean to you?
A:
I was fortunate to work with a great group of bankers at Citicorp Leveraged Capital in Dallas in the late 80s right after getting my MBA when I was 23. I was 6 years younger than anyone else in the group and I learned there is no substitute for great mentors, that investing long hours bears fruit, and relationships established early will benefit you tremendously as you gain experience and move from being just a banker to an advisor earning clients’ trust.
Q: What drives you?
A:
I grew up 7th of 8 kids. My father was a navy veteran who fought in World War 2 at Tarawa in the Pacific, and then graduated college on the GI bill and married my mom. My parents instilled in me a belief in hard work, investing in education, staying close with family and friends and a love of the United States that still drive me to push myself today.
Q: What are you passionate about?
A:
I’m passionate about continuing to educate myself, bringing out the best in me for the benefit of my clients, focusing on the team, thinking independently and taking time to unwind through yoga, travel, meditation and live music.
