Cascadia Capital is pleased to announce that its client Workplace Answers, LLC (WPA), a market leader in the SaaS-based online compliance and training sector, has been acquired by EverFi, Inc., a leading education technology company that provides learners of all ages with education for the real world, through innovative and scalable digital learning. Cascadia Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor to WPA in this transaction.

WPA offers an online compliance and training platform delivering approximately 200 courses to over 1,250 customers globally, which represents more than 2.5 million learners.  The Company’s eLearning courseware addresses the needs of multiple industries, such as High-Tech, Education and Retail, as well as multiple regulatory topic areas, such as Anti-Corruption/FCPA, Harassment & Discrimination, Code of Conduct & Ethics, Title IX & Sexual Violence Prevention, Diversity & Inclusion, and Security & Privacy Awareness.

“WPA and EverFi share the same philosophy of engaging the learner and putting the customer at the center of product innovation,” said Girish Pashilkar, CEO of WPA. “As we considered growth strategies for WPA, I felt confident that being acquired by EverFi would allow us to significantly amplify our impact in critical areas such as preventing corruption, discrimination and sexual violence.  Additionally, EverFi’s inclusive and purpose-driven culture would continue to provide a thriving work environment for our talented employees.”

Reflecting on the transaction, Mr. Pashilkar said, “Cascadia was an excellent advisor choice for Workplace Answers.  Their knowledge of the sectors we operate in and their familiarity with related market dynamics were extremely valuable in us achieving a successful outcome for our shareholders.”

Paul Vander Vort, Managing Director, Cascadia Capital, added “It makes our job easier when the client has a market leading solution combined with strong leadership and execution.  Workplace Answers certainly earned the successful outcome it achieved.”

WPA sits at the intersection of a number of sectors Cascadia Capital covers, including Compliance, eLearning and HR technology.  The WPA transaction represents the tenth deal completed by Cascadia Capital’s Technology team since January 2016, and the seventh deal over the same time period completed by Cascadia’s growing Minneapolis office.
