Cascadia Capital is pleased to announce that Setton Farms, in partnership with the Wildflower Partners Family Office, has acquired Touchstone Pistachio Company, a premier pistachio processor located in the Central Valley of California. This acquisition will expand Setton’s pistachio processing capabilities in the Central Valley, further establishing its foothold as one of the largest pistachio growers and processors in the United States.
Touchstone Pistachio Company is a leading value-added pistachio packer and processor, fully bridging the value chain from grower to consumer. With diverse sales channels, the business sells pistachios to retail, food service, and wholesale customers domestically and internationally. This transaction demonstrates the attractiveness of agrifood processors driven by rising global demand for value-added, shelf-stable, and specialty food products, coupled with margin expansion opportunities from automation, export growth, and co-manufacturing scalability.
“There remains tremendous opportunity in the AgriFood Processing sectors,” said Scott Porter, Cascadia Capital Managing Director. “We are seeing significant consolidation in the processing segment and expect strong tailwinds to come to fruition over the next several years. Touchstone Pistachio Company’s transaction with Setton Farms is exemplary of the industry consolidation we expect to continue.”
Touchstone Pistachio was managed by the Receiver, the Stapleton Group—a subsidiary of J.S. Held—and was represented by Covington & Burling LLP. Setton Farms was represented by Saul Ewing LLP.
