Cascadia Capital, an investment bank serving middle market clients globally, today announced it acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Thorley Industries, LLC, a portfolio company of Bain Capital Ventures and Castanea Partners and the owner of 4moms, a leading brand in the infant swings, rockers, and sleep categories, in its asset sale to UPPAbaby, a leading innovator of strollers, car seats, accessories, and other juvenile products, and a partner company of Seidler Equity Partners.
UPPAbaby’s acquisition of 4moms’ operating assets represents a strategic expansion that will strengthen its presence in premium baby gear, enhance its product offerings in the swings and sleep categories, and solidify the breadth of its unparalleled solutions for parents and children.
“UPPAbaby is the ideal partner to acquire 4moms’ assets, as both brands have a strong history of developing innovative, premium baby gear that makes life easier for parents,” said James Cartales, Managing Director at Cascadia.
“By adding the 4moms products to the UPPAbaby platform, UPPAbaby is able to expand its category reach and offer additional high-quality products to its loyal customers. Cascadia was thrilled to be able to assist our client in achieving a successful sale and are gratified the 4moms product categories can continue helping UPPAbaby enhance its growth into an industry leading company,” added Billy Susman, Managing Director at Cascadia.
“We are grateful to the Cascadia team for identifying a strategic buyer that valued the brand and the company’s capabilities. They were able to mobilize quickly to ensure the transaction closed in a timely manner on attractive terms for the stakeholders,” said Steve Richards of Castanea Partners.
