Paul Vander Vort is a Managing Director at Cascadia Capital with deep expertise in the Technology sector. Paul brings more than 20 years of deal experience to the firm, having worked on more than 50 mergers, acquisitions and financings in his career; the vast majority of them involving technology companies.
At Cascadia, Paul focuses on M&A and growth equity financing opportunities. His areas of expertise include technology companies serving the HR, e-Learning, Compliance, Legal/Tax and Public Safety market segments. In addition, he has advised a number of companies offering speech, voice and translation workflow solutions.
Paul came to Cascadia from Marks Baughan & Co., where he was a Managing Director. Prior to Marks Baughan, he was at Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI), where he headed M&A for Thomson’s $3.0 billion-plus Legal Division. Earlier in his career, Paul was a Director in the Technology Group at RBC Capital Markets and prior to that, he was an attorney practicing M&A, securities and corporate law with the firms of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (London) and Stinson Leonard (Minneapolis).
Paul holds a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Amherst College and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
