Cascadia Launches New Financial Sponsors Group & Lands First Two Clientsby Giada Cardoletti Seattle -- Seeking to capitalize on its managers' experience and relationships in the capital markets Cascadia Capital LLC, a West Coast investment bank, has launched a Financial Sponsors Group dedicated to helping U.S.-based private equity firms find new deals and finance them. "By working with the new group private equity firms will obtain deeper visibility into middle market investment opportunities," said Kevin Cable, executive vice president at Cascadia. Based in Seattle with an office in New York, the Financial Sponsors Group will target private equity funds with a minimum of $500 million under management, and offer all the resources currently available at Cascadia, including the firm's national, capital markets relationships, and its debt and M&A advisory services. The group will also lean on the expertise of its professionals who focus exclusively on such sectors as communications, information technology, security and defense, healthcare and industrial and consumer, Cable said. The new group already has two clients for which it is handling five add-on acquisitions, Cable said. He would not disclose their names and identified them only as household names in the buyout world. Cable would not disclose the company's fees, saying only that they are commensurate with the market's going rate and that they vary based on the size and type of a deal. The investment bank's new group is the latest in a series of recent company milestones including the opening of the firm's New York office and the closing of more than $500 million in transactions in the last 18 months, the company said in a prepared statement. |
